Manufacturing Capabilities Our manufacturing process centers around our commitment to investing heavily into state-of-the-art machining solutions. The machine tools that we use on our floor are all Mazak Multitasking Turning Centers serviced by robotic loaders. These machines and our manufacturing processes provides solutions that have many advantages, such as: Hours Of Operation Our plant runs to a schedule of 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 358 days a year. We turn our machines off for only seven holidays and scheduled maintenance. High Automation/Low Labor Formula Due to the high automation of Leelanau Industries, our operators typically run up to three machines (six spindles) at a time. At any given time, four operators are capable of running all of the machines in our plant. In addition, our machines run in between shifts, lunches and breaks providing for the ability to run unmanned for 21% of the hours in a day. The Quality Advantage The multitasking capabilities of Leelanau Industries offers a hands free approach to manufacturing. Our machines are capable of accomplishing many operations without the part ever leaving the machines. This eliminates the possibility of human error between operations.
